Thanks giving is always one of my favorite holidays. I love what it represents and although I never get accomplished as much as I want before the guest start arriving or all the activities I want to set up for the children to understand the true meaning. I hope that one day the next generation will savor the traditions we so deeply love. And I am so truly thankful for the blessings I have now. And hope that I won’t ever take them for granted. Every time Jaime kisses me then kisses Carisella because her and I are always cuddled up to together, I silent say this “this is what I signed up for” I am not sure when I started saying that line to myself but every once and a while when I am feeling overwhelmed I say “this is so not what I signed up for” and Oh do love the times when I get to say, “THIS . . . this is what I signed up for.”
And this Thanksgiving was the most perfect one to date. I mean I am not going to lie, I still didn’t take a shower until the first guest rang the door bell. And I was a little preoccupied and over cooked the Kale, but everyone got to sit at the table together. And we all had great conversation. I had been missing my brother that just lives down the street – Busy lives. Dinner was excellent. Jaime’s Turkey does not disappoint, and everything else was yummy, especially the sweet potatoes that I was so worried about.
After dinner no one rush off, in fact everybody went outside to enjoy the nice weather and more good conversation while the children ran, and played, until late into the cool evening.
So much to be Thankful for
